View Full Version : Performance Issue

I have a bit of a problem that seemed to come along with version 19.0. Now that I have this version the performance of fleet command seems to be seriously degraded, for example the graphics seems to render itself in bursts, this seems characteristic of a lack of system resources, however that is impossible. I have 2046MB of RAM, an AMD Athalon 64 X2 dual core processor (2 GHz), and a GeForce 9600 GT. This should be more than enough to cover this, not only that but I have other games which are more intensive than this and don't perform as poorly. So I am left to wonder, what is the cause of this? Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is there any software out there that might fix this performance issue? Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.

Finding the right GPU driver can help with the above problem, also trying different setting on the GPU driver can also help, but unfortunately it's a bit or trial and error to find the right driver and setting for game, also a few people have said that FC doesn't seem to run that great on a GeForce cards. I have found that FC seems to run better on ATI cards, but this is only my opinion. :)

Also make sure that you are using the -megs switch in the FC startup parameters.

Check out page 17 of the NWP manual.
Command line options from the Sonalysts Team. To use a command line option right click on the shortcut for Fleet Command and click properties, click the tab shortcut, and then enter the options in the target box. Enter the options shown below after the quotes while making sure there is a space at the beginning and between each one.
Example:
"C:\{Fleet Command root directory}\FLEET COMMAND.EXE" -megs 64 -skipopening -showFrameRate.
